FAQs

  • You should not receive a VI peel if you:

    -are pregnant/breastfeeding

    -have an aspirin, hydroquinone, or phenol allergy

    -used Accutane in the past 6 months

    -have active cold sores, warts, or open wounds

    -underwent chemotherapy or radiation in the past 6 months

  • We recommend stopping all Retin-A (retinol) containing products, exfoliants, alpha-hydroxy acids or beta-hydroxy acids at least 5 days prior to your VI Peel application.

  • The VI Peel is a painless treatment. Clients can typically return to normal activities immediately following their appointment.

  • With day 1 being the day the peel is applied, clients will typically experience the most peeling on days 3 and 4. If the peel is applied on a Thursday, your peak peeling will occur over the weekend.

  • No worries! Just because you don’t peel, doesn’t mean it isn’t working. The peel healing process is unique to everyone and may span from no peeling, to mild flaking, to sheet peeling.

  • It is not uncommon to experience a few more breakouts than usual following a VI Peel. The peel increases your cell turnover and deeper skin debris is being pushed to the surface, presenting as a blemish. Post-peel purging typically lasts between 10-14 days.

  • You can get a VI Peel as often as every 4-6 weeks, as tolerated.
